Project Hold & Reactivation Policy

At WM Studios / WM Records, we value timely communication and smooth project execution. To maintain proper workflow and scheduling, the following policy applies to all clients and projects:

 

1. Communication Requirement

Clients are expected to maintain proper communication during the project period. If there is no response to calls, messages, emails, or project updates for an extended period, the project may be placed on hold from our side.

2. Pending Payments

 

Any pending dues, installment payments, or agreed project charges must be cleared on time. Projects with unpaid balances may be paused until payment clearance.

 

3. Project Hold

WM Studios / WM Records reserves the right to temporarily stop or pause any project due to:

* No client response
* Long communication gaps
* Pending payments
* Delay in approvals or submissions from the client side

 

4. Reactivation Policy

Projects resumed after 30 days of inactivity may require a reactivation fee ranging from ₹5,000 to ₹10,000 depending on:

* Delay period
* Pending work
* Studio/session rescheduling
* Resource allocation

5. Additional Charges

If the project requires fresh scheduling, new recording sessions, editing revisions, or reallocation of studio resources after being paused, additional charges may apply.

 

6. Right to Refuse Continuation

WM Studios / WM Records reserves the right to refuse continuation or delivery of any project until all pending payments and applicable penalties are cleared.

By continuing with our services, the client agrees to the above terms and policies.
 

Project Failure Policy

At WM Records / Western Music Studios, we are committed to delivering high-quality creative work and investing significant time, expertise, and resources into every project. To ensure transparency and protect both parties, the following policy applies in cases of project failure:

1. Payment Obligation

  • Clients/Artists are required to complete all agreed payments within the defined timeline.

  • Failure to complete payment for any reason will be considered a project failure.

2. No Refund Policy in Case of Failure

  • In the event of project failure due to incomplete payments, no amount paid will be refunded under any circumstances.

3. Delivery Restrictions

  • The studio will not hand over any files, recordings, mixes, masters, or related materials until full payment is received.

  • Partial payments do not entitle the client to partial or full delivery.

4. Ownership Transfer in Case of Failure

  • If a project is abandoned or payments are not completed, the studio will become the sole owner of the project and all associated content.

  • This includes (but is not limited to): audio recordings, compositions, beats, lyrics and any creative assets developed during the project.

5. Content Usage & Distribution Rights

  • To recover financial and resource losses, the studio reserves the right to:

    • Sell, reuse, or redistribute the project content.

    • Offer beats, compositions, or recordings to other clients at revised pricing.

    • Use the content for promotional or commercial purposes.

6. Client Responsibility

  • Clients are strongly advised to:

    • Plan their budget before initiating a project.

    • Ensure timely payment completion to avoid loss of ownership and project access.

Refund Policy

At WM Records / Western Music Studios, we maintain a strict refund policy to ensure fairness and sustainability of our services:

1. No Refund After Work Commencement

  • Once any work on the project has started (including recording, production, editing, or planning), payments are non-refundable.

  • This is due to the time, effort, and resources already invested.

2. Advance Payments

  • All advance payments made to book studio time or services are non-refundable once the booking is confirmed and work is scheduled.

3. Exceptional Refund Cases

  • In rare and exceptional circumstances where a refund is approved by the studio:

    • The refund amount will be processed after deduction of 18% GST and any applicable service charges.

    • The decision to approve a refund lies solely with the studio management.

4. No Refund for Client Delays or Cancellations

  • Refunds will not be issued for:

    • Client delays

    • No-shows

    • Change of mind

    • Project discontinuation by the client

5. Processing Time

  • Approved refunds (if any) may take 7–14 business days to process after confirmation.
